3.6 "Used to be a great value, not so much anymore"

This was the third time and also last time, that we spent time in this hotel. As upon leaving we were told that their previous policy of being able to use the aquapark after checking out, had been revoked, even though it goes against the norm of other hotels with swimming amenities. All hotels usually care about is that the guest vacates the room by 11am to get it ready for the next arriving guest, however they're happy to oblige with the option of continuing to swim that day (Mosonmagyaróvár, Héviz, Demjen) after checking out. Now, after having fought through countless Hungarian villages for 4+ hours to arrive at a hotel in the middle of nowhere, too tired to take advantage of the swimming on the day of arrival, they expect you to get lost after 11am on the day of checking out. If you had arrived with the plan of spending 1 night, having a nice dinner, then breakfast, then spending the rest of the day relaxing by the water, you're SOFL, you'd better get your swimming in on the day of arrival, no matter how tired you are. What about the food? Well, the previous 2 times it was amazing, 50% of the reason we even bothered coming, however now it seemed lacking, more average than anything, nothing worth writing home about. The Gotthard Therme used to be a great value for the money, difficult to get to, in the middle of nowhere, but its amazing food and fun aquapark made up for it. However now it's just not a good value. Maybe for the Austrians living nearby in Graz, but for Hungarians no. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

4.4 "Could be better"

I must say I expected more from this hotel. From the reviews and the presentation of the hotel...It was nice but there were many but...The cleanliness was on the edge, all over the hotel there was smell of kitchen... Food was nice but for dinner the hotel was separated to 2groups and even though you wait in the line to take food from buffer 15min. The waterpark is nice but quite small.

5.0 "Perfect hotel"

I would definately recomend this hotel. Great spacious rooms with balcony with great views. Fantastic breakfast and diner selection, helpfull and smiling waiters and hotel staff. Great for families with kids but also for couples. The spa and wellness part is directly connected to the hotel which was great. It has a very good location within the town. Close to the city center for a nice walk after the diner. Strategic location for trips to neighouring Austria :)! We had great time in your hotel. Thank you! Worth every penny ;)!!!

4.2 "Crowded"

This place is interestingly out of usual scope for neighbouring countries (A, SLO) - it is located on three state area (Austria, Hungary, Slovenia). A lot of Thermal spa’s can be found in diameter of 30 kilometres. We visited on national holiday - place was crowded - no deckchairs available after 12 am. Mostly local residents - some tourists. Receptionist was very unfriendly, two out of three keys didn’t work on wardrobe lockers. Some parts of pool area are very dirty. Pool safety guards are located of main pool area - occupied by each other. Safety is here - “something to eat”. Prices are affordable and pool restaurant is ok ( crowded too).

4.8 "Perfect family hotel and spa"

Highly recommended for families with kids (and small pets). Delicious buffet breakfast and dinner. Varied spa with lot of pools and joy. Helpful staff, good price and value rating with potential discounts.

5.0 "Team building holiday"

We visit this place with my colleagues for a team building weekend. This hotel is amazing. Our room was nice, big and clean. They changed towels every day, bathroom was also very clean a fully equipped. Our balcony faced to the outside pools of the Spa. As it was January the outside pools were closed, but the Spa was also very good. The restaurant was also very nice, the breakfast was with very wide selection and tasty. The only negative thing what I can mention that during the dinner there was very long lines in front of the buffet table. The hotel was fully booked so there was so many person and we waiter 30 min in line and again 20 min if we want to eat more... But all the food was good. The extra is the dog menu! Amazing! This is a really pet friendly hotel!
