4.8 "Small but practical"

This hotel was made by the reception staff, so helpful and friendly. However, the rooms are pretty grubby and the drains smell, which when the shower is only 4 feet from your bed makes for an unpleasant experience. I complained of the stink to the reception and they asked both housekeeping and maintenance to attend. Their cleaning made little difference so I popped up the road to Sainsburys and bought some bleach. That helped a bit. Housekeeping was very poor, after requesting them to come and do a proper clean they literally pushed the dust and hair around on the floor. I found myself doing the cleaning. Breakfast was very limited, understandably with covid, but better to buy your own. Very good point that they have washing machines and tumble dryers in the basement. The gym was ample and if you book in advance you get it to yourself. Location wise, good for Guy's Hospital and London Bridge Station, but not great. I wouldn't stay here again, as I felt that I was doing all the cleaning in my room!

4.8 "Huge room and lovely staff"

We had a deluxe suite and it was massive. Two queen sized beds, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining table and a sofa. The room was lovely and clean. Check in staff fin was so nice and helpful. Showers in the room were lovely. Breakfast was a buffet style and the selection I thought was fantastic considering Covid. They even had bags and boxes so you could take stuff away with you and still had hot food options available. The reception area of this hotel smells amazing I don’t know what it is but honestly you’ll see what I mean The only reason I have gave it a 4 star and not 5 is because the windows weren’t very sound proof and it was noisy being on the main road. Also in the morning at around 7/8 house keeping staff were quite loud. Other than that it was great.

5.0 "Great hotel and perfect location"

This hotel is a 10 minute walk from London Bridge station. The location of the hotel is fantastic with restaurants and coffee shops near by. Our room was spotless with everything you could need. The breakfast was fine usual stuff you would get in a Residence Inn. The staff were all friendly & helpful. We arrived early and got our room straight away. I have booked this hotel again for October and would definitely recommend it .

4.4 "Room for Improvement"

On check in, our room on the 3rd floor was found to be sub standard by Marriott standards. The coffee table appeared dusty, carpet rug not vacuumed, fridge not cleaned either. No daily cleaning was carried out during our 3 nights stay. Breakfast was hit and miss, replenishment of certain items was slow, but acceptable given it was included in with the room rate. Many guests not adhering to covid rules not good. Overall, reception staff very accomodating and helpful. Area was found to be quite noisy during day and night. Interesting area, plenty of history, many eateries within walking distance. Would recommend the Garrison Gastro Pub and Jose's Tapas Bar.

4.8 "Finola..."

Finola was absolutely brilliant and was able to check us in promptly, recommend The Shard for dinner and save us the best seats for a very important football game! Thank you for a fantastic experience at your hotel and we look forward to returning! The best Marriott ever! - The Scottish chap

1.8 "Fag ends flowing on the street outside, I didn't bother"

The standards of cleanliness are terrible at this place with their ashtray on the pavement outside full and overflowing, surely they can do better than this it's been like that for days - they simply don't care

4.8 "Good value, good location!"

I liked to stay here, it was cheap and offered a lot. Everything could be reached easily with public transportation. It could have been a bit cleaner.
